January's Carrick Business Spotlight goes to Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc!

In the 1970s, Kevin Dieterle was still exploring his academic options on campus. It was during this period that his roommate introduced him to the idea of mortuary school, which he researched and found to be a compelling career path. Kevin commenced his employment with Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc, located at 1503 Brownsville Road, in 1981.

This grand, iconic building is a familiar landmark to many. As a graduate of Carrick High School, Kevin achieved another milestone in 1984 when he became the second funeral director in Allegheny County to earn certification as a funeral service practitioner from The Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Kevin's dedication to supporting families during their grieving process is a testament to his character, and it was a natural progression for him to acquire the funeral home in 2008. Since the 1980s, Kevin and the Readshaws have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to giving back to the community.

The community is deeply grateful for the invaluable contributions and support you have provided to numerous individuals during their most challenging moments. Your selflessness is truly a remarkable trait.
